ACTRESS FURY at the Bushwick Starr, NY, 2014. ACTRESS FURY is a passion-play of one tormented actress, played by three female performers, who takes on the role of Ajax- the shamed, mythic warrior. ACTRESS FURY excavates the archetype of the actress- perhaps one of the most fiercely loved yet degraded figure in our culture- to ask questions about the performance of self, and our needs to be seen, adored, and left alone to do the work we’re born to do. Dramatic scenarios unfurl through dance to reveal an anti-strategy about wrestling with ambition and being female in this 21st century moment.
